Today I bought my first tube of black oil paint.
Up until this point I hadn't used any in my paintings. It was based off the theory Monet had. He thought that there was no such thing as "true" black in nature, his favorite subject. So, he never used it in his later work.
Also, I wasn't alowed to have it because My art teacher wouldn't let me.
When I asked why she just laughed and said I had to "learn to use color first."
Very Zen-Master-Yoda of her if I do say so myself.
Well.. 4 paintings is all I could take, and I think I'm ready for black now.
So, here's my fist attempt.
